sapient: suggest great sagacity and discernment: the ~ observations of a veteran correspondent.


judicious: stress capacity for weighing and judging and for reaching wise decisions or conclusions: ~ parents who use kindness and discipline in equal measure.  (in equal measure等量)


prudent: apply to someone rich in practical wisdom, and ability to exercise self-restraint and sound judgment: a ~ decision to wait out the storm.
